Mamafest: Ride for the Cure 2009 is back in Seattle!
Saturday, March 14th
Mamafest will be hosting it's 8th annual Ride for the cure
snowboard/ski competition & music festival at The Summit. We will
have all the old tricks up our sleeve by providing a pledge drive,
local music & half pipe competition (jam format).
Remember the Mamafest Village?....Just like ol' times. Everything
will be in one spot and at Summit Central at the base of the 1/2 pipe.
What is Mamafest?
Fighting breast cancer on the slopes, Mamafest strives to promote breast cancer awareness among youth and adults and to raise funds for breast cancer research organizations and educational programs. So far, Mamafest has helped raise over $76,000 in the fight against breast cancer at the University Of Washington's Medical Genetics Clinic! Mamafest has produced ski/snowboard/music fundraiser's for breast cancer research since December of 2000 and donating the money raised to breast cancer organizations in the NW. Mamafest operates with no paid staff and is run completely by volunteers. Thanks for visiting!
